Evening mantras
Prabhu Aap
Prabhu Aap Jago
Parmatma Jago
Mere Sarva Jago
Sarvatra Jago
God awake, God awake in myself, God awake everywhere
End the play of suffering. Light the play of bliss
Following Sri Sri Hans Raj Maharajji’s words:
“Prabhu Aap Jago, Parmaatma Jago” is spoken from God to God. Whenever God feels that it is necessary he comes among us in the form of a Saint, working towards the liberation of the whole word, uplifting human beings and stabilizing social values. He is often seen, praying by himself and establishing these values. The Seer of this great mantra, Santa Sachcha Baba, incarnates only for this prayer. Meeting God in himself, then going deep into this consciousness, he awakens God in himself. God is hidden within all sentient and non-sentient beings. Sachcha Baba forgetting his own name and form begins to sing:
“Prabhu Aap Jago, Parmaatma Jago”
This great Saint sees that the whole universe, which is a form of God, is asleep. Seeing it asleep the mercy to awaken it flows out of his heart. The Seers of the Vedas, the great Rishis, seeing the world as God asleep spoke this mantra:
“Uttishthat Jagrat Prapya Varannibodhat”
Awake, arise and go to the wise people.
Full of mercy the great Seers, began to awaken their divine sons and daughters, saying:
“Oh my sleeping sons and daughters, awake, arise and go to the wise people and receive divine Knowledge from them”
At the present time a link continues the chain of Rishis: The great revolutionary Saint Sachcha Baba. He joins their tune with his tune, and he awakens us:
“Prabhu Aap Jago, Parmaatma Jago”
Those who see are called Rishis. They understand the Truth, and after understanding they feel mercy, because they have also been asleep in the night of attachment. So It is natural for them to have mercy, recognizing the Self in their brothers, sisters and friends. The feeling spreads in their hearts that we all together must awaken the people. It is as if the sun rises and you quickly try to wake up your children. You go right up to them, reminding it is time to go to work. In the same way our Rishis, our Seers awaken us, when they see that we are sleeping. They chant:
“Prabhu Aap Jago, Parmaatma Jago,
Mere Sarva Jago, Sarvatra Jago”
All pervading God, who is sleeping in our and your form in the night of illusion, the state of attachment and the world of “me”, is called.
“Oh, all pervading God, you are everywhere. You are everything. You awaken in everybody, because all the names and forms are your expression. If you are awake in my form and name, then definitely you have to awaken in others.”
This is the call of the Saints. This prayer of the Saints is to that all pervading God that he must awaken. God is in the darkness of attachment, and has become worldly. He has the power to become awakened that is why I am speaking about this. That is why this music comes from me, and this becomes the mantra of my life. A mantra is nothing, except prayer to God, a calling to God. It is spoken from God to God.
Following Sri Prem Baba’s words:
Sometimes a Great Saint incarnates only to fulfill a mantra. It is the case of this special Rishi, Sachcha Baba. Saint Sachcha Baba is a Divine Instrument through whom God sends us His teachings. Through this mantra He awakens God in people. He is always full of forgiveness and compassion. This mantra, together with the Sankalpa is His promise. And, while this promise is not fulfilled, He will continue among us. The revolutionary Saint Sachcha Baba brings this mantra to us through which it is possible to reach the place where Truth is. His heart is overflowing with compassion, and He sings from heart to heart, from God to God:
“Prabhu Aap Jago, Parmaatma Jago”
God is love. To pray to God for Him to awake is the same as to say: “Oh! Lord, open my heart and, once my heart is open, the only thing I can ask you is that you open the heart of my brother. God, awake in me. God, awake everywhere. End the game of suffering and bring light to the game of bliss.”
God fell asleep when incarnated in this plan through you. He fell in the lust and forgetfulness sleep, he believes to be separated and got involved in protection layers: gluttony, laziness, greed, enviousness, anger, pride, lust, fear and lie; that ended up being your transitory reality. Besides those layers there are also “masks” that were adopted by personality and were used to hide such transitory reality.
This mantra is an appeal to God or the Supreme and Permanent Reality that inhabits in us for Him to be able to awake.
Parmatma Ki Jay Ho!
