"Oh merciful Lord, give us Wisdom, and the Light of Devotion.
Remove the veil of evil tendencies. Come in the form of Annapurna
Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth and food, and enlighten us. Through
her form bring a balance and harmony in our material life.  Let creation
carry on, according to the words of the Vedas.  Purify us, so that we
become one with divinity.  In that way, end the play of suffering and
bring light to the play of bliss.  Please come and manifest yourself in
everyone and everywhere.  Show us your light".

The Sankalpa was neither written in any scriptures, nor was it written by me. It was the voice of Sachcha Baba’s soul, who had reached perfection by Self-Realization.  Through his wisdom he wanted to find out the purpose for being here. In meditation he saw these words in writing. These sentences appeared in many coloured red, yellow and white, and there were many sentences written behind them, on a black board. All of this just appeared, but what he could understand and remember were only the words of the Sankalpa.  When he came out of this meditation, he asked seekers who were in his service to write this down. Now these words have become his promise. These words contain his work. It is a plan for the future. It is the explanation for individual and universal life by which all nations must abide.

When the Sankalpa becomes the prayer of life, it becomes a call. The promise fulfills itself quickly. My work is to put this into practice. It is the aim of my life.  If you understand the Sankalpa rightly, then you will be able to understand life and the world.  According to God the Sankalpa has steps which are written below:

  1. To show the light of Devotion and Wisdom of God

  2. To remove the veil of evil tendencies.

  3. To pray to God to work in the form of Goddess Annapurna Lakshmi, who brings food and wealth, and enlighten us.

  4. To establish harmony in society according to the Vedas.

  5. To free us from the play of suffering and bring light to the play of bliss.
